Meet Aldo Scarpino

Meet Aldo Scarpino. As our Financial Controller, he’s a driving force behind the financial reporting and planning that helps take our premium-branded beef to the world.

Aldo joined our team late last year. He’s worked in finance and accounting roles for more than 30 years, but he’s also passionate about agriculture. He grew up on a market garden, worked in the egg industry, and still produces garlic on the family property today.

“Agriculture is a great sector, but it was the people and business model that really attracted me to Harmony. It’s a well-run business and everyone is focused on doing their job to the highest standard,” Aldo said.

“Taking a premium product to the world goes beyond simply putting a margin on something. There are challenges like tariffs, but there are opportunities to grow into new markets and diversify our customer base.”

With Harmony’s annual production on the rise, Aldo feels like he’s joined at the right time.

“We’re expanding our herd and the continued growth of our breeding program puts us in control of our own destiny. As Wagyu becomes more popular globally, we’re in a great position to make the most of that. I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Born and bred in Dimboola, Caleb wanted to venture further afield and explore a different part of the supply chain. Life on the road for weeks at a time can be tough, so he was keen to work closer to home. As luck would have it, an opportunity came up to rejoin Harmony.

“I had a great experience here the first time I was part of the team. It’s such a family-oriented company – nothing is ever too hard; you just have to ask. I’d been a feedlot assistant and maintenance supervisor before, so returning as Assistant Manager was a chance to take the next step.”

From keeping our cattle happy and healthy to supporting the team, Caleb thrives on the variety each day brings.

“No two days are ever the same, which is why I love the place. I enjoy managing the team, improving how we do things, and constantly learning – whether that’s genetics, breeding or livestock management. We all take pride in giving the cattle the best possible care and producing a top-quality product.”
