Anthony Fellows takes the stage at genetics conference

Whether you’re a chef in Melbourne, a distributor in Bangkok, or a diner in LA, you don't just want a great steak once. You want the exact same world-class experience every time.

So, as a Wagyu producer and exporter, how do we deliver that consistency, cut by cut?

At last week's Genetics Australia 2026 Conference, Harmony's CEO Anthony Fellows spoke about that challenge and why we cannot afford to leave breeding outcomes to chance, especially with a supply chain that's 1,200 days long.

Our animals are bred for the plate, so it's essential we know as early as possible which ones have the genetic potential to deliver premium quality Wagyu.

Beyond our own breeding programs, Anthony shared how we're combining geno-typing with MEQ Live technology – a tool that identifies marbling propensity in situ – to guide genetic decisions back down the supply chain.
