Meet Jarrod Alcorn

Meet Jarrod Alcorn. He manages our Murrindindi Breeding Hub: home to our growing fullblood herd.

Consisting of five grazing properties spanning around 5,000 acres, the hub supports breeding and backgrounding the finest Wagyu calves. Jarrod oversees the day-to-day operations.

Having worked in ag his entire life, he joined Harmony late last year to take on his biggest challenge yet – and he’s loving every minute.

“I’m passionate about breeding and genetics, so the chance to be part of building something of this size from the ground up was really exciting,” Jarrod said.

A big part of his job is managing pasture utilisation and regrowth through rotational grazing. Our cattle are what they eat, so the healthier the soil and grass, the better.

“Working here has definitely exceeded my expectations. I’ve been really impressed by the level of care that runs through everything we do – whether it’s the way we support our people, raise our cattle or look after the land. It’s a great place to work.”
