Strengthening relationships with breeders

Across our exclusively southern Australian supply chain, we partner with intergenerational farmers and breeders to source the highest quality feeder cattle for our F1 Wagyu program. Without them, we couldn’t deliver a consistent supply of Wagyu beef to our customers all year round.

We recently had the pleasure of showcasing the production, sales and marketing side of our operations in Melbourne to more than 70 key breeders from across Tasmania.

Breeders heard more about Harmony’s strategy and gained a deeper understanding of our 1,200-day process beyond the backgrounding stage, which included a visit to our processing partner, G&K O'Connor.

We also discussed how using the best Angus genetics will continue to raise the bar on quality. Because our F1 Wagyu is produced using an Angus and Wagyu cross, the genetic quality of the Angus female base is just as important to producing a premium product. That's why, along with our investment in elite Wagyu bulls, we're also working with our breeders across the board to build a better Angus cow for our program.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making these visits such a success. Special mention to our friends at Matilda 159 Domain for so beautifully showcasing the product our breeders are at the heart of producing.
