47th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting
Harmony’s Anthony Fellows and Claire Dyason joined government, industry leaders and over 200 delegates from across Australia and Korea in Adelaide for the 47th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting.
It was a pleasure to meet with the Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Don Farrell; Premier of South Australia, the Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP; the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM, Chair, Australia-Korea Business Council; and other dignitaries.
The theme of this year’s meeting ‘trusted partners in a changing world’ highlighted the strength of the Australia-Korea partnership and provided an invaluable opportunity to deepen ties across a number of strategically important sectors, including agriculture.
A key thread across the two days: relationships may be driven by interest, but they are sustained by people – a point underscored by the calibre of speakers who addressed the meeting. It’s a view we share here at Harmony and one that reflects why building and maintaining strong relationships – whether it’s with our partners in Korea or across the industry – is essential to how we operate our business.
With Australian beef highly regarded in Korea, we were proud to share our Black Opal Wagyu with delegates as the welcome dinner sponsor. From the tartare tasting station to the striploin for the main course, the rich, buttery flavour of our Wagyu left a lasting impression.
