Grampians BBQ Festival

Community is at the heart of who we are, so getting behind an exciting new BBQ festival in our backyard was an easy decision.

The inaugural Grampians BBQ Festival was held at Halls Gap over the weekend – celebrating fire, flavour, community and regional Victoria at its best.

With our Dimboola Feedlot just up the road, we loved teaming up again with local Wimmera businesses Warrack Butchery and Coal Catering to bring the luxury of Wagyu to the outdoors for live-fire cooking demonstrations. From traditional cuts of tomahawk and rump cap to more unexpected cuts like tongue and brisket bacon, they did a stellar job showing how easy it is to enjoy Wagyu at home.

And it wouldn’t be a BBQ festival without pitmaster competitions. We were proud to be naming rights sponsor of the Australian Barbecue Alliance competition and see Black Opal Wagyu in the hands of talented pitmasters.
